DuePress: self-hosted invoicing, now a WordPress support service
What it is: a self-hosted WordPress invoicing plugin with Stripe and Square payments, sold on a simple promise: “no SaaS fees, your data on your server.”
What we built: the invoicing plugin, the payment integrations, and a deliberately fast product site (single-file static homepage with zero external CSS/JS and full structured data) paired with a WordPress blog for content.
Notable engineering: a hybrid architecture: static where speed was everything (the homepage scored near-perfect Core Web Vitals), and WordPress where content velocity mattered.
Where the project is now: the brand has since been rebuilt as DuePress, a WordPress support service, and the performance rules from this build carried over intact. The current site ships no jQuery, preloads self-hosted WOFF2 fonts from its own theme, and references no third-party asset host at all. The WordPress support pages and the troubleshooting guides run on that same stack.
